Do your leads come directly from your own efforts, or do they just happen?
Looking back on 2004, it's amazing to think where we'd be without the contracts that came from out of the blue.
Why does this happen? Is it just a factor of sticking around long enough for the leads to come to you?
Whatever it is, I don't mind it. =) I'd like to know if this is common for other Web companies. Do you usually have a strategy, or are you too busy working that you never give it much thought?
We've been aggressively targeting a specific industry over the past 6 months. Our research and planning during this stage has been very comprehensive, but in that span of time our biggest opportunities of the year have materialized.
Perhaps hard work in one area rewards you in another, though you may not recognize it?
